What does this mean?

OBD2 Code C1194 Seat definition:
? The PCM receives DSC operation signals from DSC CM while the engine switch is turned to the ON position. If the PCM receives DSC operation signals for longer than the specified time, the PCM determines that the DSC is operating continuously. Note ? The DSC CM stops operating itself for protection heat to the solenoid and/or motor (built in DSC HU) if the DSC operates for a long time.

Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information.
If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.

VERIFY DSC CM DTC IS RETRIEVED
???Retrieve the DSC CM DTC using the M-MDS.
???Is any DSC CM DTC retrieved?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC troubleshooting procedure.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT IF MALFUNCTI SeatON IS IN ABS WHEEL SPEED SIGNALS OR ELSEWHERE
???Access the following ABS wheel speed sensor (DSC) related PIDs using the M-MDS.

¨D??RF_WSPD
¨D??RR_WSPD
???Drive the vehicle on a straight and flat road.
???Are there almost the same as the PIDs value of four wheels?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Inspect the ABS wheel speed sensor, sensor rotor and related wiring harnesses.
Service as necessary.
Then go to Step 7.

INSPECT IF MALFUNCTI SeatON IS IN COMBI SeatNED SENSOR SIGNALS OR ELSEWHERE
???Access the following combined sensors (DSC) related PIDs using the M-MDS.
¨D??YAW_RATE
¨D??LAT_ACC
???Drive the vehicle on a straight and flat road.
???Are the PIDs values of each combined sensor signal correct?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Inspect the combined sensor and related wiring harnesses.
Service as necessary.
Then go to Step 7.

INSPECT WHERE MALFUNCTI SeatON IS IN STEERING ANGLE SIGNAL OR ELSEWHERE
???Access the following steering angle sensor (DSC) related PID using the M-MDS.
¨D??SWA_POS
???Drive the vehicle on a straight and flat road.
???Is the PID value correct?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Inspect the steering angle sensor and related wiring harnesses.
Service if necessary.
Then go to the next step.

VERIFY THAT DTC C1194 Seat TROUBLES SeatHOOTING IS COMPL SeatETED
???Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors.
???Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the M-MDS.
???Run the vehicle under the FREEZE FRAME DATA stored condition.
???Is the same DTC present?
Yes
Replace the PCM, then go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
