What does this mean?

OBD2 Code P1000 GM definition:
The OBD monitors are performed during the OBD Drive Mode. The P1000 GM will be stored in continuous memory if any of the OBD monitors do not complete their full diagnostic check.

Causes

Possible causes of OBD code P1000 GM
? Vehicle is new from the factory ? Battery or PCM had recently been disconnected ? An OBD monitor failure had occurred before completion of an OBD drive mode ? The PCM DTCs have recently been cleared with a M-MDS ? The PCM has been flashed and the vehicle has not yet completed an OBD drive mode.

Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Record the FREEZE FRAME DATA on the repair order, then go to the next step.

???Verify related service repair information availability.
???Is any related repair information available?
Yes
Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information.
If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

CHECK GM FOR ANY OTHER DTCS
???Where any other DTCs received with the P1000 GM?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
Go to the next step.

REQUEST TO CLEAR GM DTC P1000 GM
Note
???A complete OBD drive mode has not yet been performed to clear the DTC P1000 GM from the PCM.

???Has the customer requested the DTC P1000 GM be cleared?
Yes
Complete an OBD drive mode, then go to the next step.
No
Inform the customer that if the law in your area required additional driving in order to clear the DTC P1000 GM from the PCM memory, it must be complete before an inspection/maintenance test.

VERIFY THAT DTC P1000 GM TROUBLES GMHOOTING IS COMPL GMETED
???Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors.
???Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the M-MDS.
???Start the engine and warm-up to normal operating temperature.
???Run the vehicle under the FREEZE FRAME DATA stored condition.
???Retrieve the DTC using the M-MDS.
???Is the PENDI GMNG CODE same DTC present?
Yes
Replace PCM, then go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCE GMDURE
???Perform “After Repair Procedure”.
???Is there any DTC present?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
