Possible causes

– VVT solenoid valve disconnected
– VVT solenoid valve to ECM PWM drive circuit:
– Open circuit, short circuit, high resistance
– VVT solenoid failure

Symptoms

– Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
